In our more than 25 years of collective growth, we at Washington Printmakers Gallery continue to generate new ideas on prints, printmaking, art and life. This blog is updated by Director Annie Newman with the help and input of WPG member artists and interns.
Washington Printmakers Gallery is open Wednesday – Sunday at 8230 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland; in Pyramid Atlantic Art Center. To find out more about the gallery, our upcoming exhibitions and events, or individual artists, please visit our website.

The image of the motocycles is such a great print! Graphically strong and witty. I’d love to hear more about this print.
I love your site. Keep it up !
Does anyone out there know of printmaking classes in the DC area? Thanks!
Besides whatever is available at Pyramid Atlantic, check out the Art League in Alexandria. Visit Discovery Graphics in the Torpedo Factory, offering classes in intaglio, lithography, etching and monoprinting. Silk screen printing classes are held at the nearby Madison Annex. See the course catalog online at http://www.theartleague.org
Well said–we have mentioned the Torpedo Factory/Art League before in calls for entry, etc. If Pyramid is a little out of your way for multiple-day workshops, see our friends in Alexandria! And you can always supplement your learning by attending WPG’s free artist talks and demos.
I am blown away! I am thinking of applying to Phoenix Sky Harbor Art Program for a future show of the Arizona Print Group!
Great show, fellow printmakers!
Thanks Joan, and good luck on your application!
I just made a “Blogs You Need To Read” menu, and put you guys on it. I really enjoy reading your posts.
