Yesterday we told you about Pyramid Atlantic’s 30th Anniversary Open House and Reception (also the opening of WPG’s mini-show in the Press Room) on April 9. Here are some other things to add to your calendar, as well:
Select – Washington Project for the Arts Art Auction and Gala – This exhibition/gala is WPA’s yearly fundraiser. This year, over 100 artists were selected from WPA’s artist membership by 8 curators. WPG member Fleming Jeffries is one of the artists included. The exhibition opens at WPA headquarters tomorrow, February 19, 6-9 pm. Tickets for the Gala and Auction, to be held Saturday, March 12, 6:30-midnight are on sale now.
Mount Pleasant Temporium – Open starting TONIGHT 7-9 pm and running through Sunday, March 13, this temporary store space will offer screen-printed t-shirts and posters, as well as other artsy goods, some by our friends at Fire Studio and Pleasant Plains Workshop.
And of course, don’t forget to stop by WPG, too. Excellence in Printmaking is only up for another 8 days. Lila Oliver Asher‘s solo exhibition, Reflections Past and Present will be on view in March (Opening Reception Saturday, March 5 1-4 pm and Artist Demonstration Saturday, March 12 2-2:30 pm). Check our website next week, too, as we will be adding more details for our spring shows, including solo exhibitions by Jenny Freestone and Max-Karl Winkler. See you around!
