The application deadline for WPG’s National Small Works exhibition is only two weeks away! Submit your prints by May 15 for a chance to win a solo exhibition in August 2012. Other prizes are awarded as well. This year’s juror is Robert Newman, owner and director of the Old Print Shop in New York, NY, the oldest family-run gallery in the States. See the prospectus here.
Some other call for entries we thought were interesting include:
SwingArt Contest 2011: Sponsored by NADA and Grolsch beer, SwingArt is an annual competition which started in 2007 to commission an artist and produce a limited number of bottles featuring the artist’s work. The SwingArtist ’11 will be announced after June 15th. The winner will be flown to Miami to celebrate their original work featured on a limited and numbered edition of SwingTop bottles, and will receive a $2000.00 cash prize. You can see their application form here.
We’ve mentioned this one before, but the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative Printmaking Competition entry deadline is TOMORROW! Two Printmakers will be chosen to receive free, 6-month keyholder memberships to the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative (a $1200 value). The artwork created at CPC by the two winners will be exhibited in the summer of 2012. There is no entry fee, and the full prospectus can be seen here.
Good luck everyone!
