Do you remember when we renovated the Press Room? If you don’t you can read about it at the link. Since last year, we have hosted member exhibitions and extensions of our main-space exhibitions in this room, formerly a vault. Now that it is bright and clutter-free, it makes a great exhibition space.
We are happy to announce the start of our new program, “Press Room Mini-Solos,” which kicks off this October. WPG artist Anne McLaughlin will be the first artist to take advantage of this space with her show “Without Reservations,” where she will exhibit a new suite of embellished monoprints. This exhibition will run alongside Mike Hagan’s solo show, “Doodle, Digit, Dot” in the main space.
Now that we have scheduled the interested WPG artists, we have a few extra months next year that we are opening up to outside printmakers. Interested? We’ll be posting a prospectus on our website (and here and on the blog) in September. So start pulling together your prints–I can tell you we’ll need 15-20 images–and thinking about what you would like to do with the space.
