We’re excited to announce Margaret Adams Parker’s upcoming exhibition So Teach us to Number our Days at the Crossroads Gallery of Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads (GHBC), Falls Church, VA. According to the press release:
In this show she explores, with tender insight, the experiences of youth and old age, joy and sadness, loneliness and human intimacy. She shows us a young woman musing over her first pregnancy, a woman tilting her head to fasten her earring, a group of late-night commuters waiting wearily for the last train, an elderly couple making their way with slow and halting steps. These prints and sculptures invite us to see through the artist’s eyes.
This exhibition will be on view June 13-July 24, with an Artist Reception on Wednesday, July 18, from 4-6 pm.
In addition, we want to congratulate Jenny Freestone on having two of her prints selected in the Artspace International Juried Printmaking and Photography exhibition in Richmond, VA. In addition to Jenny, we were pleased to see fellow local artist and friend of the gallery Joyce Jewell and a familiar name from our own 2011 National Small Works, Jonathan Goebel. This exhibition will be on view May 25-July 22. You can see all the finalist prints here.
