We recently shared a post regarding WPG member artist Jenny Freestone’s acceptance into the Allegany Arts Council’s 2013 Will’s Creek Survey. The exhibition is currently underway at The Saville Gallery, 9 N. Centre Street in Cumberland, Maryland and runs through October 4.

Last Saturday evening, the gallery hosted the opening reception and awards ceremony for this national juried exhibition. That night, it was announced that juror Lauren Schell Dickens, assistant curator of contemporary art at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, chose Freestone’s print Zantedeschia as the show’s first place winner.

You are invited to see this print and others during tomorrow’s artist reception for Freestone, whose solo exhibit is currently underway at WPG. Join us from 1-4pm on Saturday, September 14, to view her new prints, chat with friends, and enjoy some refreshments.
